If you've lived on Daniel Island for more than a couple of years, the rhythm of summer is familiar. Kids at Smythe Lake, dinner on the porch at The Kingstide, a Credit One Stadium concert or two that reshuffles your Friday night traffic. The 2026 version looks similar on the surface. Underneath, the center of gravity is quietly moving north.
Almost every notable opening, groundbreaking, and new amenity this year is happening up Clements Ferry Road, in Cainhoy and Point Hope. The concert calendar at Credit One is the loudest thing on the island, but the more consequential story is that the map of where you actually go on a Tuesday night is getting redrawn.
